LaShana Jenkins-Webster
Advocate Mentor – Charleston County
All of our Advocate Mentors have amazing life stories, which have prepared them for their work at RCI and provide inspiring models for our mentees, but LaShana’s story is truly amazing. After graduating from high school, she joined the United States Army, serving our country courageously for eight years and receiving numerous medals and awards for her efforts. Honorably discharged, she then returned to school to obtain a B.S. in Criminal Justice in 2014 (Strayer University) and a M.S. in Behavior Science in 2018 (Saint Leo University).
LaShana’s career next led to work in the fields of mental health for six years and child and client advocacy for five years before she joined the RCI Team in 2024. She is also very involved at Long Point Missionary Baptist Church, serving in the Youth Ministry as well as on the Junior Mission Board. Her love for and commitment to young people is unequivocal! LaShana specifically believes in the work at RCI because we are committed to promoting the best interests of the children at all times. We want to provide them with a positive role model and safe environment so that they can confidently learn to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns.
