Melanie Grijalva
Prior to joining the RCI Team in 2020, Melanie worked as an early intervention specialist and as a behavior technician for young children on the autism spectrum. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from the College of Charleston (2020) and is passionate about helpling children grow and progress through their challenges. In addition to working with RCI as an Advocate Mentor, she also partners with a local organization to provide resources to migrant children and their families that will help them adjust and thrive in their new communities. Melanie believes in the work at RCI because she understands the significance of creating a nurturing and supportive environment in which children can thrive. Having experienced the positive impact of mentorship herself, she is passionate about fostering a sense of belonging and encouragement within the RCI community, so that every child feels valued and supported along the path of growth and development.
Melanie is a dedicated runner and loves spending time with her family.
