OPHELIA HEYWOOD

Procurement Project Manager, Gulfstream Aerospace 

A native of Georgia, Ophelia was born in Valdosta and completed high school in Jesup, GA, at Wayne County High School. She continued her education and obtained a Bachelor’s in Professional Studies from Barry University in Tallahassee, FL. She later earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Phoenix University.  

For the past fourteen years, Ophelia has been employed at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA. Her current role is Procurement Project Manager.  

Ophelia has served on the Board of Directors of Real Champions, Inc. since 2019. Real Champions is an organization that seeks to abolish the cycles of generational poverty in vulnerable youth in South Carolina.  

A woman of faith, Ophelia is a believer in Christ Jesus. She has a love for family and enjoys music, bike riding, kayaking, exercising, traveling, reading, and good food.  

She and her husband, Carlos Heywood, reside in South Carolina in the “Lowcountry” where they partner together in business, life, and ministry.
